Destination: Ausangate

Time: 4 days / 3 nights

Day 01: Cusco - Ocongate - Tinki - 3950 m.a.s.l.

We will start the trip by bus at 6AM in order to make some stops. First we'll stop at a typical village of the highland area named Urcos, we will have a spectacular view of the Vilcanota valley range, and later we will stop in the town of Ocongate, an important population with a historic transcendence (lord of Qoyllority). 30 minutes later we will arrive in Tinky (3850 m.a.s.l) and where we stay overnight.

Day 2: Tinki - Upis

We will have a delicious breakfast, then we will start hiking (4500 m.a.s.l) on the slopes of the mountain Ausangate, overlooking lagoons of different colors below. We'll also experience the customs of the Andean people who live on this areas of the highland, and see close up some large groups of llamas and alpacas. Finally, we will camp at the village of Upis (4140 m.a.s.l)

Day 03: Upis - Pacchanta

After breakfast, we will continue hiking to Pachanta, taking in the beautiful landscaping and also different types of Andean birds. This area is known as the Natural reserve of Huallatas, andviscachas and other wild animals can be found around this area.
We will arrive early to the camp in order to enjoy the thermal baths.

Day 04: Pacchanta - Tinki - Cusco

After breakfast, we will hike for about 3 hours going through the Andean landscape. We will arrive at Tinki where we will have lunch, and later we will board the bus back to Cusco.

Tour does NOT include:

• Sleeping bag.
• 1st day breakfast.

• Tips

We recommend to bring:

• Sleeping bag (if you don't have one, you can rent one at the office)
• Warm clothes for the 1st day
• Light clothes and socks.
• Boots or shoes made for hiking.
• Flashlight
• Bottled water
• Camera or video camera (optional)
• Sunglasses, sunblock, hat, and bug repellent.

Note: during hiking, you will carry your own sleeping bag, pad, and personal belongings (e.g. Backpack)
