Cusco - Machupicchu

Time: 4 days / 3nights

Day 01: Cusco City tour

Arrival in the city of Cusco and transfer to hotel by your tour guide. You will have some time to rest and adjust to the altitude of Cusco before an afternoon tour.
In the afternoon, we'll take a tour of Cusco, including the plaza mayor( main square), La catedral, and the templo del sol (temple of the sun) also known as korikancha.
Later, we will travel outside the city and visit the ruins of: Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, PucaPucara, and Tambomachay before returning you to your hotel.

Day 02: Sacred Valley of the Incas

The Sacred valley tour overlooks the valley and the vilcanota river below. We'll stop at a typical market in the town of Pisaq. (open only Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays). We will also get a chance to experience some customs of the villagers. Every Sunday there is a mass held in quechua, the language of the Incas, in a local restaurant.
In the afternoon we'll visit the fortress and citadel Ollantaytambo, built as a lookout at the valley entrance, and used to protect against invasions from jungle tribes. Ollantaytambo was formed by many overlapping terraces. Nearby, we will have a chance to walk through the little streets of the town and get an idea of what Ollantaytambo was like in the times of the Inka, as a fortress and as a religious center.

Day 03: Cusco - Machupicchu

Early in the morning, transfer to the train station to travel by train for 3 hours to the ruins of Machupicchu, known as the lost city of the inkas.
Arrival to Aguascalientes station.we will take the bus to Machupicchu that last 30 minutes. In Machupicchu we will visit the main square, the round tower, the sacred solar clock, the temple of the 3 windows and the cemetery.
After the tour, you will have free time to look around the sanctuary yourself.
Lunch in AguasCalientes and in the afternoon we will return to the city of Cusco. Transfer to hotel.
